The oldest church in Karlovy Vary is located in a former cemetery where they found his peace known, respected people of the city. Here it was buried famous architects, whose designs were created by luxury mansions; doctors have done a lot for the development of local medicine and studied the healing properties of thermal water from numerous sources, Carlsbad; artists and musicians, celebrates the beauty of his native city.

Cemetery was removed in 1911, in its place broke a park named after Mozart, and the temple was left. It was erected in 1500 in the Gothic style by the order of Stefan von Branden - noble lords of Loket. Temple deliberately built outside the city of the time on a small platform above the river. He ran past the road on the hill, where executions were carried out. Death row prisoners, following by the church, listening to the sad sound of bells, and could last turn to God.

In 1841 there was a serious reconstruction of the Church of St. Andrew. Its facade features gave the Empire style. It is in this form of the temple, and has survived to our time.

The church operated until World War II, and then the church was closed, and for a long time it was abandoned. The building is dilapidated, a resort town lost one of the tourist sites, which, of course, did not like urban management. As a result, in 2005 it was decided to give the church of St Andrew's Greek Catholic Church. The Holy Fathers have taken care of the reconstruction of the temple. It is open during services.
