House Kurbatov - the oldest wooden building in the city of Ivanovo. It was built in 1800. Located on the street Postysheva 7.

The house was built and the joiner cutter "style" (the boards with a relief pattern, used for packing cotton prints) Basil E. Kurbatov. He was engaged in building facades and trim. In 1860 the house was owned by E. Kurbatov.

The house is a two-storey residential building a log. He was felled pine logs "to the castle." The facade facing the street lined with tёsom. At the beginning of the XX century has changed the roof. The interior of the building area is extended. It is represented by a square in terms of log cabin house, which faces the street facade in three axes of windows, and attached to it at the yard, cold stand by narrow plank with a porch along the side of the facade. Architectural decoration, which is influenced by classicism, focuses on the main facade. The corners of buildings with releases of logs under the roof boards are finished by pilasters overlaid with thin semi-columns, killed 3-yoh levels chiseled balusters. Similar half-columns with balusters used in window frames - with a straightforward arched completion in the first floor and large rectangular shape in the second.

Particularly expressive in a simple pediment are beautiful upper trim with teeth and split pediments, which is decorated with blind notched thread (age emphasizes casing) in the form of semi-circles with rays that diverge in hand, such as "sun" - a symbol of the sunrise. In the middle of the gable is also a rectangular box design, similar in shape of the lower windows.
