Kenana Park is the largest in the city of Haskovo. This park is considered to be a kind of green lungs of the city and a natural barrier against the harmful emissions of industrial enterprises "Neohim" and "Vulcan", located 15 kilometers north of the city of Dimitrovgrad.
The park covers an area of over 236 hectares and is located to the north-west of the city. It was created by architects Atanasova and Dzhubelieva between 1955 and 1970. Most of the park area (approximately 70%) is occupied by mixed forests: here you can find oak, ash, wild cherry, lime, as well as planted after 1969 cedars, pines, firs and redwoods. The average age of trees in the park is about sixty or seventy years.
The territory has an artificial lake, which is situated along the promenade benches, playground and sports fields. Also visitors might be interested in a swimming pool, spas, cozy restaurants, and tennis courts.
However, infrastructure will not prevent you to relax in the lap of nature and fully enjoy the birds singing and the cool shade of the trees, not looking at the same time the benefits of civilization.
