Varna Museum of History is located in a building originally built for the needs of the Belgian Consulate. Subsequently, it changed several different profiles: the building had visited the hotel, and at the end of XIX century it was converted into a prison, which he served until the end of the 1920s. As a museum of city history building only became known in the late 1960s.
The total area of the museum - 600 meters, all three floors of the building occupied by all kinds of exhibitions. Each of the museum exhibits tells the story of Varna, on the development of the city from 1878 and up until 1939.
The museum offers visitors a review of photographs of them old houses and streets. In addition, here are samples of the different architectural elements of the palace and objects preserved from Evksinograd.
Numerous rooms of the museum are restored handicraft shops and various stores (for example, toys, books). Recreates the atmosphere of an old hotel rooms, studio photographer, a cafe, a lawyer's office, and even a piece of the beach sample of XIX century with space for changing and part of the courtyard of one of the old houses of Varna.
No less interesting is the piano, bought in the mid 20s. It works were played, opening the first international music festival in Varna. By the way, a music festival is held annually in Varna and is now called "Varna Summer".
