Ol Doina Lengai - the only active volcano in mireV karbonatitny 1955 Ol Doina Lengai erupted, spitting out ash into the air and dust of sodium carbonate. This is an unusual volcano, because of its lava rich in sodium and poor in quartz. From afar it seems that Lengai is covered with snow, like Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro, but a closer look reveals that the whitish substance was not snow, and sodium carbonate, traces of the recent eruptions. The volcano is located in Tanzania, in the part of the fault zone, which is called the Sykes Grid, where, as expected, the crust is particularly thin.   I can complement the description
