North Ossetian Reserve - one of the main attractions of the country. The reserve area of about 30 thousand. Ha was established in 1967 on the territory of the national reserve "Tseyskoe." The main purpose of its creation was the preservation and study of natural complexes, located on the northern slopes of the Central Caucasus.

The reserve is the second largest country in the karst cave - Shubi-Nyhasskaya with corridors and halls covered with stalagmites and stalactites. Of particular interest in the reserve are the following historical monuments: the cave towns in Nuzale, Ursdon, Dzivgise, Mesolithic parking Shau-Lagat in Dzivgise and catacomb cemeteries in Arjona and Karz.
