Monument cat Panteleimon is one of the most original and unusual monuments of Kiev. To erect a monument in 1998 near the restaurant Osteria Pantagruel and Golden Gate. The restaurant was chosen by chance, since it is here in the early 90s lived Pantyusha cat is a symbol of the restaurant. Unfortunately, during a fire in a restaurant killed a cat, and it is in his honor, it was decided to erect a monument. The author of the project was the sculptor Bogdan Mazur, and the funds for the monument were collected by friends of the restaurant and its patrons.
