The Monastery of the Annunciation and brigittok church - an architectural and historical ensemble of the XVII century. The monastery was founded in 1653, the couple - grand marshal of Lithuania Krzysztof Veselovsky and his wife Alexandra in memory of a loved one, untimely deceased, adopted daughter Griselda. Over time, the monastery grew and began to occupy an entire block of Grodno, and the Annunciation Church was on the busy intersection of two major streets.

Monastic Order of Saint Brigid's - one of the most mysterious orders with very strict charter. It was founded by Saint Bridget of Sweden, endowed with a rare gift of insight. Initially the order was conceived as mixed: male and female. Men monks had to wander and preach, bringing to the world the Word of God, the nuns were praying in the walls of the monastery, strictly observing a vow of seclusion. Last Bridgettines nun died in 1908. After brigittok lived in the convent sisters nazaretyanki. In 1950 the monastery was closed and transferred to the clinic for the mentally ill. In 1990 the monastery was returned sister nazaretyankam. Now it is incumbent Catholic convent.

In addition to the church, built in a kind of baroque style, is very different from the traditional canons of European Baroque, preserved and corner turrets on the monastery walls and Brahma. Church of the gate and decorated with a frieze made in sgraffito.

In the yard of the monastery there is a unique wooden structure of the XVIII century, built without a single metal nail nuns served as a dormitory.
