Friedrichsfelde Zoo - one of the two huge parks in Berlin. His appearance, he, oddly enough, is obliged to World War II. After its completion, and the division of Germany in 1955, and the city authorities, it was decided to provide land and organize the East Berlin Zoo, as the one that used to be the city remained in the western territories.

Today, the zoo is about 160 hectares and is located on its territory the eponymous palace, built in the style of early classicism. Thanks to the huge park there today not only live more than seven and a half thousand animals representing nearly a thousand different species, but also maintained and scientific, and even breeding. In particular, in this Berlin zoo breed elephants, and today is the state program on their breeding.

Fridriskhfelde Zoo is one of the largest in Europe, and around it in one day could not be anyone else.
